Journalist Awarded for Investigative Reporting

In the inauguration ceremony of Second National Conference held on August 7, 2015 at Kathmandu, 6 outstanding journalists were awarded with letter of appreciation and cash prize for publishing research based news on use of RTI.

The journalists were awarded by the Chief Guest Dr. Minendra Rijal, Minister at the Ministry of Information and Communication.

Mr. Ritesh Tripathi, Parsa and Mr. Ganesh Baniya, Jajarkot bagged the first position in the fellowship while Mr. Ram Bikash Chaudhary, Rupendehi and Mr. Dilip Poudel, Baglung stood second. Similarly, Mr. Pushpa Dulal and Mr. Ashok Dahal secured the Third Position. The cash prize includes NPR. 25,000 for the first position while NPR. 15,000 and NPR. 10,000 for the second and third positions respectively.
Rs. Twenty Five Thousand, Rs. Fifteen Thousand and Rs. Ten Thousand was awarded respectively to the winner. In the event, Minister Rijal  also inaugurated English and Nepali version of the compilation of investigative reporting by the fellow journalists i.e. SUCHANA RA SAMACHAR. The book includes 6 outstanding articles along with 30 stories developed out of investigative reporting by the fellow journalists.
