Financial assistance by RTI Activist for Earthquake Victims.

National Coalition for Right to information has provided financial assistance as relief to earthquake victims. The amount of Rs. 2, 61,000 has been deposited in Prime Minister Relief fund as relief for victims of devastating earthquake which occurred on 12 and 29 of Baisakh 2072.  

This relief amount was collected through an event led by Citizen's Campaign for Right to Information. This relief amount was voluntarily collected and deposited in the bank account created by Citizen’s Campaign for Right to Information; from different organizations, RTI groups, persons, journalists, RTI activist who are working for promotion Right to Information.

In the inauguration ceremony of Second National Conference held on 7th August 2015 in Kathmandu, the Chairperson of Citizen's Campaign for Right to Information, Mr Tara Nath Dahal handed over such a cheque to the Chief Guest Dr. Minendra Rijal, Minister at the Ministry of Information and Communication.

On that occasion, Executive Director of Citizens Campaign for Right to Information; Mr. Tanka Aryal held that relief amount deposited in Prime Minister Relief fund collected from different areas should be properly used for reconstruction. Mr. Aryal also drew the attention of the government to use such relief amount with transparency and accountability.
